In its third year (check out the 2008/2009 and the 2009/2010 edition), the school calendar came out with a new design and a new addition in the content area.
The look and feel of this year’s publication was a kind of smash/destroy mixture where everything was hand-drawn and scanned, vectorized and colored. The inspiration came from school notebooks where kids usually draw and scribble on the corners and, basically, wherever empty space resides.
Content-wise, the publication came in three versions, represented by three colors on the covers. Every version contained a different study subject (math, physics and biology/chemistry) on the 32 removable inner pages that contained the “compressed knowledge” section. This meant that we employed several school teachers to compose the study guides (with all the formulas where needed) for the fifth, sixth, seventh and eight grade.

Since the publication got even more attention thanks to the Facebook fan page, there were a lot of inquiries from abroad, so the order form needed to be updated with countries other than Croatia, as well as the payment methods.

In order to enable the payment via credit card option, the ordering system needed to be updated to the “Verified by Visa” and “MasterCard Secure Code” standards, which meant that I needed to up my game as well, since I knew nothing about generating and using SSL-certificates, but I got it up and running.
